As suspected, one bug fits all. A piece of menu initialisation code being called with the wrong (no) arguments obviously managed to overwrite the regex. I'm surprised it compiled, I only found the offending line by accident. Now fixed. No major outstanding issues as far as I'm concerned. There are some redraw glitches but they can be sorted after merging. Chris
