I guess the environment variable which points to the Netsurf resource
files isn't set?
I believe there is an shell script within the source tree which starts
netsurf for gtk,
it's for debugging purposes. Maybe it gives you infos on what to do.
Another fine option is to run DDD, start netsurf-gtk from
/usr/local/bin and see exactly where
and why it crashes. Remember to set the source search location with
DDD.
