Doesn't seem to solve 1714903 - which I hoped it would!

We have not traced what causes this bizarre bug yet.  It seems to be 
impossible to reproduce on UNIX due to pre-emptive multitasking, and the 
lack of debugging tools on RISC OS is making it very difficult to debug 
there.

We'll see if we can get it fixed for 1.2 or later.
