It doesn't work quite as it should. My copy is also set to three days, and the majority of entries _are_ wiped correctly, however '2 weeks ago' and '3 weeks ago' always contain a few stragglers. These eventually fall off the end of the queue, so it's not a major issue. The matter was discussed here a long while ago, and I thought that a bug report had been made, but I can't find it now.
