Nothing very fundamental, but I think it was a bit cumbersome to install. Looking at the instructions at http://getgitorious.com/installer, there's a magic installation script supporting only centos 6, which I don't think is what that lysator server is running. And instructions as a video. Furthermore, git.lysator.liu.se was pretty unstable after the gitorious upgrade a while ago (was it last spring?) and it was a bit hard to understand why. I'm not involved in administration of that server, but I think it's that previous experience that makes the lysator roots look for alternatives. (As for the features of the web interface, I can't really say much; I haven't using anything but the most basic functions to browse the source tree and create new repos, and that seems to work with no problems).
