I don't know whether this is in scope for this project, but what is needed most for Quagga on Solaris IMHO is proper support in the main development branch. As far as I know, the old patch (http://www.nl.quagga.net/pending/quagga-sunos.patch) has still not been integrated and it gets more and more cumbersome to apply it to the most recent version.
However, a lot worse is the fact that Quagga can't map logical interfaces on Solaris to its internal interface model, because interface indices are not unique. I have brought this issue up some time ago on the quagga-dev list, see the thread http://lists.quagga.net/pipermail/quagga-dev/2005-January/002414.html. The conclusion was that it would require a substantial redesign to accomodate the Solaris interface model, which unfortunately is not planned any time soon, I think. I would appreciate very much if this initiative could get things moving with respect to these issues. -- Alex This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ networking-discuss mailing list networking-discuss@opensolaris.org
