Now back to your question. Where should I run the ping? from the Solaris box? from the outside? Ping usually does not respond to the outside on my ipfilter configurations. Anyway, remeber that I my two public IPs (<oldip> and <newip>) are on the same physical interface using virtual IPs. So, I have rtls1=<oldip> and rtls1:1=<newip>. Maybe this is the reason? Do I have to do this on two different physycal interfaces? Gabriele.
