noise about ABI/API compatibility across releases to the extent that
a lot of people expect binaries from Solaris 9 to "just work" on
Solaris 10.
Re-read what I wrote. We don't make a lot of noise about ABI/API
compatibility going backwards, which is what I'm talking about. You
can't always take a binary compiled on Solaris 10 and stick it on a box
running Solaris 2.5.1 and expect it to work no matter how many stable
interfaces from Solaris 10 the binary is using...
