Yes, but given the way PCI IDs work, it's not at all unexpected.
Carving that Rosetta stone of ID-to-driver mappings is a lifetime
effort for _all_ OS vendors and driver writers.  At least we're not
alone in this.

So, if you've found that it works (as expected), then file a bug.  We
ought to have as many known-to-work IDs present as we can.  (If you
can't, contact me off-line, I'll file one for you.)
