I'm having a problem getting 2 servers to talk to each other on a separate 192.168.5.x network over their ce1 interfaces. They are connected via crossover. One machine is a v490 and the other is a v890.
v490 ce0 - 10.110.20.5 ce1 - 192.168.5.10 v890 ce0 - 10.110.20.6 ce1 - 192.168.5.11 They are both connected to the 10.110 network through ce0 and work fine. Trying to get them to ping over the ce1 interface doesn't work at all. The ce1 interfaces on each machine plumb and ifconfig up fine, and pinging the localhost ce1 IP from each local machine works. I've tried almost everything I can think of, setting the proper netmask in /etc/inet/netmasks, using the routeadm command, setting defined static routes. Any help would be much appreciated.
