Until now I thought is it enough to add an devalias like devalias net /[EMAIL PROTECTED]@0:speed=100,duplex=full
to the nvramrc; set the variable use-nvramrc? to true and do a reset-all to force a network adapter to 100 FullDuplex w/o autonegotiation. But today I learned while doing a WANBOOT installation that this does not work all the time/ for all adapters.. So one question is: For what adapter types (ce, qfe, ge, etc) does this syntax work? And what OBP version do I need for this feature? And the next question is how to configure a network adapter to 100 MB Full Duplex in the OBP for WANBOOT installations (we use WANBOOT on newer machines with WANBOOT feature in the OBP and for older machines with WANBOOT from cdrom/disk) if the syntax above does not work? All our switch ports are configured to 100 MB Full Duplex and we do not want to change this for the installation if not really necessary. regards Bernd This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ networking-discuss mailing list [email protected]
