Thanks for responding, Dale. It's great to get feedback from folks in
the community. I'm glad that the section looks good to you.
In regard to the /etc/inet/ipnodes file, after I sent out this draft, I
put in the hooks to remove the mention of ipnodes in the Developer's
Release and give appropriate warnings to those reading the Solaris 10
updates. This fixes an open bug.

Hi Everyone -
I just completed a new section on configuring routers for System
Administration: IP Services, which you will find in the router.pdf
attachment. This is but a humble "alpha" draft. I welcome comments
from all who choose to leave them. Due to the preliminary nature of
this draft, you might very well find typos and spelling errors, so
please bear with me.
The section, "Packet Forwarding and Routing on IPv4 Networks," begins
on page 21 and continues to page 41. Note that the procedural format
and example format are Sun standard for documentation to be published
on the docs.sun.com repository.
Thanks for your interest.
In the first table on page 10:
Modify /etc/inet/hosts and
/etc/inet/ipnodes on all hosts to
reflect the new host addresses.
/etc/inet/ipnodes no-longer exists in solaris nevada. Its functionality
has been folded into /etc/inet/hosts. See:
http://src.opensolaris.org/source/xref/onnv/onnv-gate/usr/src/pkgdefs/SUNWcsr/preinstall#27
This file is also referenced in bullet 5 on page 12. The info in bullet
5 can be folded into the info in bullet 6 on page 13.
Otherwise, it looks up-to-date.
/dale
