I wouldn't go so far as to create a "Help me" service - wouldn't it be
sufficient to advertise an "ssh" service? A service discovery tool on
another machine would then be able to find the machine.
This is already part of Rishi's plan for service discovery. See PSARC

If so instructed, Mac OS X will advertise ssh using Bonjour (as
_ssh._tcp.).
