As part of building up the foundations for making it possible to filter packets at the MAC layer (layer 2), I'm seeking input from parties outside of those that I'm aware of at Sun (such as Xen, LDoms) about what is expected or required from layer 2 filtering in order for it to be useful.
I'm interested to know what people require, both in terms of how an API should present itself (if they wanted to build their own layer 2 filtering software) as well as what people require from utilities/programs provided as part of Solaris. Thanks, Darren
