We have a Dell 1950 and we are trying to setup a Solaris 10 update 3 on
it. Of course we are encontring some trouble with the network boot archive
deliered with the update 3. Not a big deal, we tryed to integrated the
driver in a new network boot archive as specified by the Infodoc done by
SUN (http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-5455/6n7hnfnhf?a=view).
But what a surprise when we unpackmedia the miniroot archive we are not
able to patch anything on the new directory tree:
> /boot/solaris/bin/root_archive unpackmedia
/net/sunadmx-v108/JUMPSTART/S10-X86_u1106 miniroot.u3
> patchadd -R ./miniroot.u3/ -p
patchadd is unable to find the INST_RELEASE file for the target
filesystem.
This file must be present for patchadd to function correctly.
Patchadd is terminating.
> cat miniroot.u3/var/sadm/system/admin/INST_RELEASE

Any idea woul be approached. The machine were unpacking miniroot: Solaris
10 uptade 3 x86.
