The present architecture of the dladm command requires a new "create-foo" for each type of "soft" link that is introduced to OpenSolaris. Currently this is limited to aggr and vlan, but were new link types added, they would require a complete new set of create/destroy verbs. So for each new link type that is controlled by dladm, we must add a number of new commands...
It seems something of a shame that dladm has the link type joined up with the create like: dladm create-aggr rather than it being a parameter: dladm create aggr as it would ease the: * process of adding of new link types * documentation stress on the man page Thoughts?
