If it's acceptable to interpret loss of the external link as complete  
loss of connectivity, then it would be straightforward to extend the  
Xen inter-domain protocol to support this. It seems likely that the  
same is also true for LDoms. Adding an RFE to ask for this would be  
appropriate.
