In general, it is nothing to worry about.  It means the network
hardware is doing its job, and your're not loosing packets.  This is a
good thing.  As long as you're getting good throughput, I would not be
overly concerned.

Also, note that excessive amounts of traffic may not be required.  I
know nothing about the BCM nics you are using, but in general, small
bursts which exceed the NIC's rx fifo high water trigger will enough
to generate pause frames.  Also, depending on things specific to the
NIC, the number of pause framse sent may be much higher if you've
configured the NIC to use a jumbo MTU.
