Umm, yikes!  Open source has nothing to do with this.  The MDT interface
is not committed, which means it may disappear at any time (even in a
patch), and if that happens those using your driver will pay the price.
The only way to safely use MDT is to get a contract (which I doubt we'd
agree to given that LSO subsumes the need for MDT), or to integrate your
driver into ON.
