That's one way.  The sort of #ifdef lint trick Dan did is another
one.

Sounds good.  And I'd volunteer to review.  By the way, I'd suggest at
least a quick scan to see if there are any now-bogus uses of LINTED
that could be yanked.  Something like:

$ cd usr/src/uts
$ find . -type f \! -name s.\* -name '*.[ch]' -print | \
xargs nawk '/LINTED/ {flag = 1; next} \
/MBLKL/ && flag {print FILENAME, ": ", $0} {flag = 0}'

I count only 8 of them in 4 files, so it shouldn't be too hard to do
that.
