Hello everyone, I'm a new user of Solaris 10 and installed Solaris 10 11/06, but got the problem of can't accessing to internet.
My internet access is simple: PC -> local router(ip: 192.168.1.1) ->DSL modem. Currently my solaris LAN is good and connect to other Window XP machines in LAN. ping 192.168.1.100 192.168.1.100 is alive. ping 192.168.1.101 192.168.1.101 is alive. ping 192.168.1.1 192.168.1.1 is alive. Even I can ping the IP of my internet provider, AT & T and Yahoo ping 68.94.156.1 68.94.156.1 is alive. ping 68.94.157.1 68.94.157.1 is alive. But I can't ping my internet provider's domain name. ping www.yahoo.com ping: unknown host www.yahoo.com My solaris machine does not have etc/resolv.conf etc/hostname.hme0 The machine has the files below: etc/defaultrouter 192.168.1.1 etc/hostname k-solaris #my machine host name etc/hosts 127.0.0.1 localhost 192.168.1.103 k-solaris localhost I need someone's help to solve the problem.
