I've spent a good amount of time digging around and my understanding is that
there is no way to provide PPTP or L2TP from Solaris. I would seem there are
clients around, but no server component.

The best I found was possibly taking a PPTP implementation for Linux and
porting it, but saw no confirmation that it worked (PoPToP looked like the best
and states support for Solaris 2.6). Apparently FreeS/WAN (rather, its forks)
can compile on other platforms, and *Swan provides L2TP and PPTP apparently....
but I see nothing to suggest a reason to attempt building them on Solaris.

Given that IPsec VPN configuration for platforms like Windows and OSX are
simple when used with PPTP/L2TP thats the route I'd like to explore.

I'm aware of OpenVPN but want to exhaust all options for PPTP/L2TP for the
reason stated above.

Can someone please give me a head check?

Thanks.
