The OpenSolaris 2008-05 distribution is a work-in-progress produced by the Indiana project. If you're having trouble with it, then I strongly recommend getting in touch with that team: http://opensolaris.org/os/project/indiana/ For device drivers (including networking device drivers), your best bet would probably be the driver community, which you can reach through [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Network: Broadcom Corp NetXtreme BCM5755M Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express - > Driver Missing! That'd be PCI ID 14e4,1673. A quick google search turns up: http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/hcl/data/components/details/2924.html I think the driver that folks with that hardware are using is here: http://www.broadcom.com/support/ethernet_nic/driver-sla.php?driver=570x-Solaris > compatible: 'pciex14e4,4315.1028.b.1' + > 'pciex14e4,4315.1028.b' + 'pciex14e4,4315.1' + 'pciex14e4,4315' + > 'pciexclass,028000' + 'pciexclass,0280' + 'pci14e4,4315.1028.b.1' + > 'pci14e4,4315.1028.b' + 'pci1028,b' + 'pci14e4,4315.1' + 'pci14e4,4315' + > 'pciclass,028000' + 'pciclass,0280' I could be misreading that, but that looks like a Broadcom wireless card to me. 14e4,4315.1028.b should be a "Wireless 1395 WLAN Mini-Card." -- James Carlson, Solaris Networking <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sun Microsystems / 35 Network Drive 71.232W Vox +1 781 442 2084 MS UBUR02-212 / Burlington MA 01803-2757 42.496N Fax +1 781 442 1677 _______________________________________________ networking-discuss mailing list [email protected]
