Crisson, can i ask a question? Give me a minute to give you some info first.

I have an edimax wireless card. According to the compatible list here:
http://opensolaris.org/os/community/laptop/wireless/wireless_driver_compatible_list/

It says it should work with the ral driver, however, the device ID of my card
doesnt match the one specified on this web page. My vendor ID is 1814 and my
Device ID is 301.

I ran across a maybe somewhat related post here:
http://bugs.opensolaris.org/view_bug.do?bug_id=6667352
where is suggested that the guy runs the commands:
# rem_drv ncrs
# update_drv -a -i '"pci1000,1" "pci1000,2" "pci1000,3" "pci1000,4" "pci1000,6"
"pci1000,c" "pci1000,f" "pci1000,8f"' glm
# sync
# /sbin/bootadm update-archive

My question is, will doing something like that fix my problem or does the
driver need recompiling like you suggested for the original problem in this
thread? If this would fix my problem, should I run the command like this?:
#update_drv -a -i "pci1814,301¨ ral

Thanks :)
