I'm working on a project in which it would be nice to have route discovery, but
I'm not sure I have the full picture on options. It looks like today Solaris
can run in.routed to get router updates from RIPv1/2 or ICMP Router Discovery
(Cisco abbreviates this to IRDP), plus the old in.rdisc is still around for
straight up IRDP.

Thats it? As far as I can tell those are the options.

So my question is... given that it seems switch vendors such as Force10 aren't
supporting IRDP any more, and RIPv2 is generally considered taboo by network
administrators, what options do I have for router discovery?
