I'll try a fresh install of opensolaris 2009 tomorrow and see if that fix it. Thank you very much for your help..
Reinstalling won't fix it. You need to upgrade to build 117. Do that by switching to the http://pkg.opensolaris.com/dev/ authority, and then doing "pkg image-update".
