A colleague pointed me to this nice and relevant article: http://www.ctrlaltgeek.com/2008/11/12/solaris-multi-homed-hosts-on-separate-subnets/
"Eric" suggests a recipe for using not only IPFilter to push outgoing packets to the correct interface, but also IPMP to take care of failing over to another NIC when the primary NIC's link goes down. This (at least partially) works around the downside of replacing IP routing algorithms with statically predefined IPFilter rules. HTH, //Jim Klimov PS: I hope I did not extremely annoy or irritate or otherwise upset anyone by my (potentially aggressive and/or rude) part in this discussion last week. Just in case, I'd like to take this chance and apologize, especially to James Carlson ;-} for my wording. But most of those points I said I do still stand by ;) //Jim -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ networking-discuss mailing list [email protected]
