I'm doing some link aggregation to increase bandwidth.
my env is 4 e1000g cards ,a storage device.and a switch which is support LACP
,but I didn't configure the switch. opensolaris 0811/0906
I read blog http://blogs.sun.com/droux/entry/link_aggregation_plumbing
http://www.opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?messageID=78624 and see some one
have similar trouble with me.
dladm create-aggr -d e1000g0 -d e1000g1 1
dladm modify-aggr -P L2,L3 1
ifconfig aggr1 plumb;ifconfig aggr1 dhcp
Now I can ping yahoo.com with the aggr1 IP.
But When I use dladm modify -l active /passave 1
then i cant ping gateway .
I see some docs writting about link aggregation from internet and they are all
accroding to the http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/816-4554

I use the nicstat script to test the network bandwidth.and use the iometer to
give it stress.
but the result is not very good .the aggr1 bandwidth is the same with a single
e1000g card.
Now I have to ask , if I aggregation . I have to configure my switch ? my
interface is ok. And if some switchs don't support LACP, we cant use the
switch to implement link aggregation?
I really hope to see some data between single e1000g0 and aggr1.
