Hello Joost.

Thanks so much for the drivers. As you already know it's been a great job.

I installed OpenSolaris 2008.11 and also had to install your
via.rhine-ethernet.pkg driver, then followed your instructions and everything
was just fine with the network connectivity.

Then I decided to update my system from the initial snv_101b to snv_111b and
when I finally did it, then I was surprised because my NIC was dead again!

I want to mention that I keep on working on the snv_101b because the network
connection is just fine. The problem is when I want to install more packages
like the GNU Compiler collection, gcc-dev, etc. It brings up some errors or
mismatches related to constraints or restrictions.

felix...@spi-proyecs:~$ pfexec pkg install gcc-dev

So I started googling and fortunately found this post of you.
I already downloaded the package via-rhine-ethernet-1.35.pkg but I have some
questions (I'm another OpenSolaris newbie) on that.

My system has already installed via.rhine-ethernet.pkg.

How do I substitute it for this other via-rhine-ethernet-1.35.pkg?
What are the steps to follow?
Is there any howto about this?
Is via-rhine-ethernet-1.35.pkg the package to install on my updated (snv_111b)
system in order to bring my NIC to live again?

I really appreciate your support.
Thanks in advance.
