Hi

See 6770265. WPA-Enterprise support has been logged in project database, and it's on my todo list;
but unfortunately, this project's status is unfunded, and priority is low.
I will escalate this to management, and hopefully we could raise the priority. :-(

Besides, I encourage community developers to continue developing this, since we already have a prototype at laptop community(http://hub.opensolaris.org/bin/view/Community+Group+laptop/wpa).

Is there any possibility to make this work in near
future ?
I saw that there are some posts about that, but
that were old posts...

I can only support this: the current lack of
WPA2-Enterprise PEAP support
is a massive problem in many universities. It seems
ridiculous that the
alledged Enterprise OS Solaris doesn't support this,
while Linux and Mac OS
X do out of the box. Certainly not a way to lure
students to Solaris.
What makes things worse is the fact that the original
wpa_supplicant port
did (which forms the basis for wpad, if I understand
things correctly)
supports it, together with a matching ath(7D), while
the current wpad does
not.

I need this as well. I'm currently stuck using Windows when I'm at uni since I
can't connect to the wireless service with OpenSolaris.

Cheers

Andrew.
