Presumably the DHCP server is assigning you the conflicting IP address based on your DHCP client ID, which is often derived from your hardware address. As such, as root, I'd try using "ifconfig nge0 ether <hwaddr>" to assign yourself a different hardware address and then try to acquire a new DHCP address. -- meem _______________________________________________ networking-discuss mailing list [email protected]
