I've just set up opensolaris 2009.06 svn_111 on an AMD(790FX) machine using a
Realtek RTL8111DL NIC (using the rge driver) and I've noticed that the ethernet
connection gets severed during data transfers.

I haven't experienced any problems during the occasional access to the network
I did when surfing with firefox, updating packages and so on. But when I
started transferring files from one computer on the network through SMB/CIFS
the connection died right in the middle of the transfer about 15 minutes after
starting it. The transfer was initiated on the other computer (running WinXP
x64 ed).

When I look at the status bar and run commands such as 'dladm show-ether' it
shows no indications of failure, but internet is dead and I cannot ping to or
from it. 'netstat -ni' shows that there are 3 "Oerrs", the rest looks "normal".
I can't find any messages in the /var/adm/messages that are linked to these
errors (I'll attach it along with the kstat information once I manage to revive
the connection).

I just I pulled the cable and put it back, the connection came back.

How can I fix this issue? I enclose in the attachment the outputs from netstat
-ni and kstat (NICFailure.txt) and the /var/adm/messages (NICFailure2.txt).
