I have set up an OpenSolaris computer as a fileserver sharing files using CIFS
etc.

The problem is that the network connection doesn't work until I log in to it
which is not so good if I want to put the fileserver somewhere without a screen
and a keyboard. The server connects to the network via the DHCP protocol.

One solution could be to set it up to log in automatically but I don't like the
idea from a security perspective. Is there a way to ensure that the connection
and the smb services are initiated properly without user intervention?
