I think that this is a pain point for at least two C-Teams within WOS and
thus also for the users of the crucial software components from the C-Teams.
I hope to introduce a light weight (in resource consumption and other
performance factors) method (i.e., C API) hopefully soon that will provide
a list of installed locales in the current system at libc so that
the use of or the functionality of the system("locale -a") calls
can be replaced with.
