I'm not sure what list you ended up seeing this on. In my original
message I described how I followed all of the steps on that page my
experiences with them. But that message only went to laptop-discuss, and
driver-discuss, not network-discuss.

When you say "32bit kernel mode" are you saying that the drivers that
have been known to work have only ever worked in 32bit mode?

I had read that 32bit mode was all that was supported, but whenI read
through the directions you mention above I was surprised to see
instructions on how to build with the 64bit drivers. I took that to mean
that at least some people have gotten the 64bit drivers to work? no?

If I had known noone has gotten them to work, I wouldn't have bothered. :)

Ok. I started with Dell's latest drivers since the directions directed
me to look there first. If there are some for the BCM4311 (Dell
TrueMobile 1390) that are known to work in 64bit mode, or are known to
work with WPA personal, then I'd love to try them instead. I'll search
the archives.

I did go back to the Dell website, and I found NDIS6 (Vista) drivers
that were older than the ones I originally tried. I also grabbed both
the newest and previous NDIS5 (XP) drivers also. I haven't tried the
older NDIS6 drivers, but the older NDIS5 32bit driver appears to be
working (though WPA hasn't worked yet,) no dice on the older NDIS5 64bit
driver though. The newest NDIS5 drivers both failed just like the newer
NDIS6 ones did.

That's a shame. Still I appreciate the work done so far, since for
whatever reason Broadcom hasn't seen fit to release Opensource drivers
for these chips - It's really nice to be able to use these cards at all.
Thank you.
