I have a question about using the load balancing features of OpenSolaris in response to the following page: http://wikis.sun.com/display/OpenSolarisInfo/ILB+HA+configuration+(active-passive+mode+only)
What happens if the ilbd process crashes on the master node? Is there any reason the backup vrrp node would take over? It seems like there is no actual communication between ilb and vrrp. As such, the master vrrp node would continue to hold the shared ip thus rendering the end service unavailable. Am I missing something here?
