Rogue, I will mention that you should not top post on a mailing list. It is easier for people to follow a thread if comments are in-line, or at the bottom. Sounds like your distro is still packaging the old openvpn client. We have addressed this issue and it is fixed in subversion for both trunk and the NETWORKMANAGER_0_6_0_RELEASE branch. We have decided to use a modal advanced dialog for optional settings.
