I was finally able to get dbus system activation working on Gentoo - Robert, I'll post an updated wpa_supplicant ebuild into Gentopia later today so you can test as well. Got it working on 2 systems here, both are x86 though. Need testing on others. However, I seem to have issues with either NM or nm-applet - not sure which one is at fault... or if it is actually wpa_supplicant that is at fault... basically I see these messages in the log...
