        That's strange, Plasma NM (networkmanagement-0.8.95 in Gentoo) saves 
secrets in kwallet by default to workaround this problem. Secrets should not 
go to wpa_supplicant.conf unless you check "System connection" in the edit 
dialog.

        Ifnet causes some problems in my Gentoo, so I always disable it.

        Check if file /etc/xdg/autostart/nm-applet.desktop exists, if it exists 
then remove it.
