I got it working on Redhat 5.2 awhile back. I actually copied the entire
quake2 directory off a win98 partition and put in on linux. Then I took my
downloaded Linux binaries and threw them in the Quake2 directory also,
overwriting anything that was already there. It seemed to work decently.
Everything was software rendered however.
