I am having the SAME problem, with sound as a MOD or built-in I get "Can't locate
module SOUND" on boot. That's even with sound NOT as a module.
The soundcard worked great under RH 5.2/5.9/6.0 and Mandrake 5.3 but not in 6.0
I've posted this question in alt.os.linux.mandrake (I think that's the group) ..
I doubt I'll get an answer but... If I do I'll post.
