Question 1) Something weird happened to me today - I went in as root to do some updating of packages I downloaded in my normal account. While doing this, I decided to check out the updates from Mandrake. So I start Kppp, and it dials, I HEAR the two computers start to talk, and then it stops, saying 'No carrier'!! As far as I can tell, everything is set up right, and I can still dial out from my normal user account. Any ideas?
