Both the C compiler and Perl interpreter are installed by default when
you install Mandrake.  Load up an editor and you're on your way to
creating whatever you'd like.

You might also be interested in the PHP scripting language.  You embed
your commands in your HTML code.  It's got more features than you can
shake a stick at, and I think I remember seeing an ASP->PHP converter
somewhere on Freshmeat a couple weeks ago.  Check http://www.php.net for
more information.
