Good question.
Every so often I feel the desire to play Doom, which was released as part of
a RH5.0 cd I got with a book (nice easy way to blow off stress at the end of
a hard day). It won't run in 16-bit colour, only 8-bit. I run in 16 bit
colour.
Don't know the answer though
