Been running LM 6.0 for about a month and love it. The only thing I don't
yet have set up to my satisfaction is auto-shutdown when my UPS loses AC
power.

My UPS is a CyberPower Power99 which came with monitoring and shutdown
software for Windows only. It's connected to ttyS1 (COM2) with the supplied
serial cable and it works fine with Win98. I would really like to get it
working with Linux since I don't use Win98 much anymore. I read the UPS
How-To, but it seems to be partially out of date and of course there's no
mention of my "off-brand" CyberPower UPS. I downloaded the upsd software,
but am not sure if this will work, so thought I would ask for help before
proceeding.

Any suggestions on how to get this working as easily as possible?
