i lost my root partition the other day. not sure why, but i am wondering
if that is what was meant by some others when they warned against reiser.
i tried to boot and it simply found no root partition. tried to rescue
disk it and it said that partition was of "unidentified type."

now it most likely was me truth be told. i took someones advice and tryed
to use scsi emulation on my cd drive to fix another issue. i am sure i did
it wrong. nothing like pulling the trigger yourself.......

chalk one up for the seperate partition arguement. i reinstalled and my
/home, /data, and /backup pertitions are just fine. :)
