I've been trying to configure Firestarter, which seems like a great little
piece of software but I have a few questions:

I picked the option thats supposed to start Firestarter when you dialup. (but
it doesn't). So...in /etc/ppp/ip-up.local, I put the line "firestarter &".
Still doesn't start. I also put "killall -9 firestarter" in
/etc/ppp/ip-down.local. It still doesn't work - I have to start it manually
from a shell. Should I have used complete paths to the Firestarter binary?

Also, during bootup, I get a lot of errors -saying invalid mask, and to look
up iptables --help or something like that. I get the same errors while
Firestarter itself is running, and they scroll up thru the shell used to open
it in the first place.

I wanted Firestarter running because if its not running, I can't resolve
anything (no www pages or e-mail). If FS is running, I can get all this.

I did go to the Firestarter web page, and the manual on sourceforge, but
couldn't find what I needed.

Anyone have experience with this and Firestarter? Thanks much!
