I installed MPlayer-0.90pre5 too. but it's ok! you should try to see the video output, or you can try entered command like this #gmplayer -vcd /dev/cdrom -vo xv you use xv if your vga card use xv or maybe use x11, try again. and maybe you should edit the /etc/mplayer.conf.
