I think the original issue was not "How quickly does OO load on a low end machine", but "Will OO run acceptably on a low end machine" The answer to that question is IMO no. I have OO on my 233MHz laptop, and it is so slow following mouse and keyboard input as to be all but unusable. By contrast Abiword and Gnumeric are nimble and a pleasure to use. On my 850MHz desktop OO works just fine. derek
