Use xvidtune to adjust the screen to what you'd like.  If you click on
the 'Auto' button, it will auto-apply the changes you're making so you
can see what they cause.  Once you get the screen looking like what you
want, click the 'Show' button and the XF86Config modeline will be
displayed in the konsole window and you can paste that into
/etc/X11/XF86Config.
